Mintap was proud to have sponsored the 2016 WASM Wombats Mining Team who recently competed at the 38th International Collegiate Mining Competition. The two Open Division (Men’s) teams achieved first and second place overall respectively, with the Mixed Division team achieving 8th place out of 16 teams; a very respectable achievement given the high standard of competition. Well done to all.

The CSS Measurement Device, The C-Gap is now available in South America through San Cristobal (www.invsancristobal.cl) located in Santiago, Chile. They have been busy marketing and trialling two C-Gaps at mines and quarries in Chile and will be making representation across the continent at sites and conferences. C-Gap was successfully trialled at Codelco’s Chuquicamata Copper Project
Through Mintap’s South American distributor San Cristobal, the C-Gap was successfully trialled at Codelco’s Chuquicamata Copper Project. Lead weights were being used to measure the CSS in their 10 secondary and 5 tertiary crushers. Measurements were taken three times per day across all crushers equating to the use of 90 lead weights per day at approximately USD 2/weight. A cost benefit analysis of the cost of the C-Gap Vs lead weights clearly demonstrated that the C-Gap was the cheapest to operate with the added bonus of ease of use and the marked reduction of lead that needed to be disposed of. Noting its success on the Secondary and Tertiary circuit, a 30m hose and a 200-220mm sensor will be introduced on the primary crushing circuit shortly in order to improve the management of the CSS upfront.Photos attached of the team trialling the C-Gap.

Shane Lowe completed the 2015 Busselton Ironman coming in at 11hr 25min. After two years of solid training, Shane was very happy with his race and will no doubt be looking for the next challenge. Well done Shane!
Mintap Australia supports local Team Buddiup
Mintap Services has recently had the pleasure of donating to Team Buddiup. Buddiup is a Perth-based social enterprise helping young men with disability. Our donation has contributed to new gym equipment and flooring for their workout space. The equipment has already been put to good use.We are so proud to be a part of a great initiative in our local community and we are looking forward to continuing our support.
